Covergirl Blastflipstick Awesomeness

<img src="https://img.bzzagent.com/image/blastflipstick.jpg?Type=activity&Activity=8685210688&Campaign=1937617816&Uid=174364&token=10567828382b97060809dcf3fa283d8a" alt=""/>

I do this really neat thing call BzzAgent where they send you stuff to try and tell people what you think about it.  Since I love to give people my opinion on things, I'm perfect for the job.  Monday, I received my Covergirl Blastflipstick BzzCampaign Kit in the mail.  It was really neat.  I cool box that contained, a booklet with information about the lipstick and how to use it, suggestions on ways to spread the word about it, $2.00 off coupons to share with my friends (yea!!!), and three tubes of Covergirl Blastflipstick.  They were in the colors Stunner, Vixen, & Minx.  Now, I'll be honest.  I was hoping the kit would come with coupons for FREE lipstick so I could pick my own colors.  I mean there are 13 different colors and those three are probably not the ones I would have chosen, but beggars can't be choosers, right.  I was excited about them anyway.  I've been wanting to try them for a long time, but at almost $9 each, it was a scary thought.  I have buckets of make-up that I thought looked pretty only to buy it and get home and try it only to find that I didnt' like it.  I'm not one to return something like that so.........
Tuesday I wore a red Christmas sweatshirt to work and decided to try the Stunner.  The whole concept behind this lipstick is that one side is a bold cream color and the other is a shimmering metallic - hence the "flipstick".  You can blend, layer, etc for hundreds of different looks with just one tube of lipstick.  I had serious doubts about Stunner.  The bold side was very orange.  I don't wear reds very well and oranges are out of the question with my coloring, but I've been wanting a new look with bolder lip colors so I decided what the heck.  I really liked it!  It really didn't look orange or red on.  It just worked - I'm not sure how.  The gold shimmer over it really did the trick.  When my coworker walked in, the first thing she said was, "I like your lipstick!"

Pain or No Pain?

That's a no brainer, right?  Well, maybe not.  No, I'm not one of those people who LIKE pain.  I try to avoid it at all costs.  But there is something I like even less than pain and that's pain killers - or at least the effect they have on me.  Unfortunately, sometimes I forget that.  Last night I forgot.  My neck and shoulder were really bothering me.  (When you get rear-ended on the Interstate at 65mph, you will have neck and back problems for the rest of your life.  That's another story.  Hopefully you'll just take my word for it and not have to find out for yourself.)  Anyway, I broke down and took a pain pill before bed.  And THAT is the reason that I'm still awake at 6am.  That is one effect they have on me - they wire me up.  It might not be a bad thing if that was the only one.  I could probably accomplish a lot on my "to-do" list if I planned it just right.  Like I said, IF that were the only one, but it's not.  They also wire my mind up.  So while I'm laying in bed wide awake, my mind is going a gazillion miles an hour.  I'm thinking about all of my lists (I'm a list person), all of the fun topics I'd like to write about on here, all of the crafts I need to finish for the Holiday Craft Fair at our church next weekend, everybody on our Christmas list and what to get them, what I want to cook for the holidays and the fact that I need to start buying the groceries now, and....you get the picture.  If you've ever been wired up and your mind's been wired up and you're trying to go to sleep then you know how much every little thing is magnified and really wears on your nerves.  That is where my husband's snoring comes in.  I don't know if he snores all of the time because it never bothers me as long as I'm asleep before him.  But bless his heart, he was having allergy issues last night so he snored all night.  At about 3 a.m. the itching started.  My least favorite side effect of them all.  I feel like my skin is crawling from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.  Have you ever had the tops of your fingers itch?  It's an interesting experience.  The final effect should start any time and that's the headache.  I'm not sure if that is caused by the medicine or lack of sleep, but I usually end up with one before it's over.  And the absolute worst part of all is that my shoulder never did stop hurting.

So, right now I'm trying to get 48 cupcakes baked and decorated for Kupcakes & Kisses (my side business that will probably never amount to much, but I sure enjoy).  They are being picked up at 10 a.m.  Can you say "fresh"?  Then my plan is to take a nap, but at this point, I'm still not even close to being sleepy.  Maybe I'll get to mark a lot off of my list before my batteries run out.  But the Good Lord knows that my batteries will definitely run out before my lists do!!!!!  Maybe next time I'll write about my lists or anniversaries or Pinterest or........I guess I need to make a list of topics too!

Life

Where to start???  I've wanted to start a blog for a while now, but needed a "roun-to-it".  Not really sure what my "roun-to-it" is today - why today of all days?  I guess because this is the first day of the rest of my life.  Oh well.........I really don't know a lot about blogging.  I see all of the fantastic blogs where people teach about cooking, or crafts or how-to.  I love them.  But, I think the subject I'm going to concentrate on is my life.  I'll go all over the board with things because my interests are many and varied - mainly things that are happening in my life.  I could go on and on forever about who I am, but then what would I have to write about later?  You'll get to know me as you read.  I guess it will be kinda like a "Dear Diary".  I never kept a diary growing up and the only journals I wrote were the ones that were required in certain classes.  I wish I had though.  It would be fun to read back through them now.  Since I didn't, I've got 44 years to catch up on.  Wow, where has the time gone?
I've got a lot to learn about all of the ins and outs of blogging.  I'm thankful for comments and suggestions that will help with that. I think this is going to be fun.  I hope you will too.
