I do this really neat thing call BzzAgent where they send you stuff to try and tell people what you think about it.  Since I love to give people my opinion on things, I'm perfect for the job.  Monday, I received my Covergirl Blastflipstick BzzCampaign Kit in the mail.  It was really neat.  I cool box that contained, a booklet with information about the lipstick and how to use it, suggestions on ways to spread the word about it, $2.00 off coupons to share with my friends (yea!!!), and three tubes of Covergirl Blastflipstick.  They were in the colors Stunner, Vixen, & Minx.  Now, I'll be honest.  I was hoping the kit would come with coupons for FREE lipstick so I could pick my own colors.  I mean there are 13 different colors and those three are probably not the ones I would have chosen, but beggars can't be choosers, right.  I was excited about them anyway.  I've been wanting to try them for a long time, but at almost $9 each, it was a scary thought.  I have buckets of make-up that I thought looked pretty only to buy it and get home and try it only to find that I didnt' like it.  I'm not one to return something like that so.........
Tuesday I wore a red Christmas sweatshirt to work and decided to try the Stunner.  The whole concept behind this lipstick is that one side is a bold cream color and the other is a shimmering metallic - hence the "flipstick".  You can blend, layer, etc for hundreds of different looks with just one tube of lipstick.  I had serious doubts about Stunner.  The bold side was very orange.  I don't wear reds very well and oranges are out of the question with my coloring, but I've been wanting a new look with bolder lip colors so I decided what the heck.  I really liked it!  It really didn't look orange or red on.  It just worked - I'm not sure how.  The gold shimmer over it really did the trick.  When my coworker walked in, the first thing she said was, "I like your lipstick!"
